Codes question

'01 f-150 V-8 4.6 L

My service engine light came on yesterday. I took it to AZ today and no codes even came up. He said it was probably the circuit board that powered the computer hook-up was not working.

Has anyone over had this problem? What can/should I do about it?

That's among the dumbest quotes by an AZer I've ever heard...

disconnect your + terminal from the bat and hold it against the - side of the bat for about 15 seconds (with the - still connected) that will reset the ecm. take it back to AZ if the light comes back on. it should pull at least 1 code then (battery disconected in last 50 cycles or something) ill bet there is nothing wrong with the circuit board or whatever bs he told u...
