everyone has different opinions as to what a tune up is usually it consists of spark plugs, wires, oxygen sensors, pcv valve, fuel filter, air filter, and if your vehicle is affected distributor cap and rotor button, and often the coil.

basic tuneups and especially if your strapped for cash plugs and wires, and fuel filter and air filter, if you can afford it you cant go wrong with a K&N even the price is a bit steep but if an air filter costs you 8 to 10 dollars twice a year, and the K&N is maybe 60 once, it will pay for it in 5 years just on air filter savings alone not to mention increase in mpg.
