First of all, throttle body spacers are junk. They do NOT work no matter what the manufacturer says. Ask anyone of the truck tuners on this site (Troyer Performance, etc.)

2nd: The best way to go intake wise is with one of these: K&N Intake or AirForce1 Intake. I personally have a K&N on my 05 Screw. But with that said, if I were to do it again I would get the AirForce1 Intake. The reason being is that the AF1 produces a little bit better power numbers and it looks better. The K&N is made of black plastic, which is fine. But if you want looks as well, get the AF1 because it is made of metal. My brother has the AF1 on his GMC Sierra and it looks really good under the hood. It is polished stainless metal with the blue oiled filter. Either one is just about as good as the other.

3rd: If you really want to increase the power under the hood, you need to get a tuner for your PCM. You should look in the Chips and Programming section of this site. I have the Superchips Custom Tuned XCal2 which is what Mike Troyer of Troyer Performance sells. He is one of the supporting vendors for this site.

You can get the regular Superchips tuner or the "canned" tuner for your truck. But if you spend a little more money, Troyer's tunes will be truck specific, meaning that his tunes will be to your applications. He will ask what modifications that you have. Such as: exhaust, cold air intake, bigger tires, gears, etc. He will also ask for the code on your Powertrain Control Module.

The regular hand held tuners are like shotguns. They are broad based tunes. They can be used on many different applications. Troyer's XCal2 Custom Tune is like a rifle. It is very truck specific. Meaning that if you and a buddy have a truck that is exactly alike with the same modifications but his has a different code on his Powertrain Control Module then his tune would not work in your truck. Kinda get the idea?

I may not be explaining it in simple enough lingo. Just call Troyer Performance on Monday and they will help you with everything that you need.

Also use the search button in the Chips/Programming section and you will find all the information that you need.

I put on the ICEMAN INTAKE on my 97.I have it from new and it now has 184,000mi. on her now and still going strong.I really like the Iceman because it fit very well and draws cool outside air into the system.
