351w upgrades
Not to hijack the thread but I am also interested in upping the whp and torque of a 1995 F-150 with a 351W. No budget and doing our own wrenching.
What heads are good? Cam? Intakes etc. Other resources to read up on?
Thanks.

next to a 350 chevy, i can't think of an engine with more available parts than the 302/351 windsor. pick up any mustang magazine and find good deals on heads.
this is a no brainer, good heads, budget look at some of the iron gt-40 or dart heads, no budget look at airflow reserch or trick flow for aluminum heads, edlebrock makes an intake as does ford racing, pick a cam company and give them a call,
you can also look at the 93 - 95 lightning for a guide.

AFR and Twisted wedge are two of the top head makers. Either of these two would be top notch. The steel darts are cheaper, but still very good.
If your intake and exhaust can keep up (along with your ECU) a set of heads is easily worth 30 hp. For an all out build, I recommend a 393 or 408 stroker. A good oil pan (to keep the oil off of the crank), windage tray and girdle.
Gonna need a custom tune, mass air or both. Good flowing exhaust and intake to go along with it. 350-450 street friendly hp is easily obtainable with a combo like this.
Check out these people. I am not saying these are theones t o go with, but they can give you a bunch of ideas. IMO a good local engine builder is worth his weight in gold. You dont want to go to large with the induction and cam. http://www.dssracing.com/
Do a search on 351 strokers and you should find some info.
