If I'm on the road, I prefer flash foods. Cause they got me out of a jam at 3:00am on 4th of July night!! I thought I was gonna walk home.
I thought exactly the same thing till I started keeping a spread sheet on mileage, where I bought it, and how the truck was driven on that tank. It proved to me that there is a difference.

Yea, I had much better mileage before Ethanol, I liked MBTE much better. In RI its 7/1/07 all stations must use Ethanol but everyone that I have seen has already made the switch. since Ethanol my mileage went straight down the tube. (ethanol cost more to produce, takes longer, burns quicker, the only upside is that it burns cleaner) now I always use 87, which is about 2.95 a gallon. and does the Shell V-Power really clean your engine and everything that they claim?

Didn't notice any/much difference on my truck, but it made my brother's 4.0 Jeep run smoother and better.

Here in Canada's east Coast, I use pretty much only Shell or Irving because the 2 have the lowest sulfur content. Seems to run smoother on the Shell though.

Here in Canada, Esso (Exxon) has the highest sulfur content by far. It Polutes and will eventually plug your CAT (No the meowing kind of cat)

Shell, Irving Sulfur content: less than 100ppm
Exxon/Esso 735ppm

I get the best mileage with BP or Sonoco. The BP in my area doesn't put the ethanol in their 93 octain, so that is a plus. I run BP 98% of the time.

Whatever brand I run into while I'm on the road.

I refuse to buy a drop of BP/Amoco branded fuel, though. Ever since a rat bastard BP station owner jacked his prices up to $5.00/gallon just after Katrina, justifying it by saying "That's what people in Atlanta are paying, that's what I can charge too."

K, guess I will chime in. For the most part gas is gas. However, i have noticed that the cheaper gases, ie. Speedway, Marathon's etc tended to be "dirtier", oh no, I just used quote marks. Anyways, the cheap ones seam to foul plugs and injectors, foul carbs with varnish after time. I noticed this when I had a carb. car. I have used nothing but 93 octane from either Amoco, now BP and refuse to use it, or Shell 93. Shell gets consistent high marks for having the most attatives, for whatever thats worth. And Still run a can of bug juice, injector cleaner, once a month. I have had the motor apart a few times (long story) and the injectors are nice and clean just like new. I will not use the cheap stuff in my truck. However, with the recent gas disaster, I continue to use the cheap stuff in my daily driver.
