I am look at getting a air filter for my new truck it a 2002 f150 4.6. I have a exshuxt put on hopfully friday Does the air filter help and power and MPG? I heard pipes do that why I getting them done and sound good. I am look at the K&N filter just filter not the whole kit. What the diffrents thats

A filter will improve, but just slightly. I had my K&N put on a month after I got the truck so I couldn't tell. The part I like is all you do is wash, then re oil. Never have to buy a new one. I just had a warranty issue that was cleared and a new filter sent quick. I would suggest one, but the kits add a bit of hp's and mpg's, but not many as mentioned around the forum.
