This is not my car, its my friends. He has a 1996 Ford Bronco 4x4 XLT. He told me the problem and I wanted to ask yall because I know yall are the best and yall have helped out my probelms. All right, he says that it has happened 3 times on a 3 weeks period. When he is cruising or taking off he has this weird like slipping thing, like if the engines turns off for a sec. then back on right away (little jurk). All the gauges stay the same and the rpms gauge does not go down to 0 it stays the SAME. About 1 year about he had his fuel pump and fuel filter replaced and he also has a pinion in the rear end that is messed up for about 2 years. The truck has 120,000 miles on it so my guess would be the transmission slipping when changing gears or the rear pinion gear slipping the the rack gear. Please help because we are going on a trip in 1 month and I don't want anything to go wrong with his truck.
