starter solenoid replaceable??

Quick question, is the starter solenoid a replaceable part or do I need to buy a whole new starter w/ solenoid??

My truck just clicks on startup intermiitently, I checked it out and found the positive bat cable was corroded badly(only 2 conductors were still left intack on the wire to the starter) and replaced that today.

Truck works good so far after getting a new cable and grinding off all the corrosion on all the electrical connections, starts right up. But if it starts to just click and not turn over anytime soon, I'm pretty sure it's the solenoid. I don't want to buy a $150 starter if I can just get a solenoid.

Thanks
Brian

HI!... The solenoid is located on the firwall on the passengers side.

You can see it barely is this pic. It's in the top left hand corner where all the wires are.

thanks for the responses.

I see the solenoid in that pic, I thought the only solenoid was the one that is actually on the starter. Didn't know there was a second one!

I'll have to check that out.
