Cylinder 3 misfire 4.6L engine

My wife turned her 2000 F150 around backwards on a off-ramp. She rolled down the hill missing trees to the left and right. Thank God she or my son wasn't hurt.

My problem now is that there is a misfire on cylinder 3. No big deal. I'm going to replace all the plugs and the COP on cylinder 3.

The question I have is - is there any damage that could have been done to the engine or drive-train resulting from the accident? I'm worried that the misfire is just a symptom of a larger problem.

Sounds like there was no impact with object. Therefore, I cannot see how there would be any damage. Did she go off into a ditch? Anything that could have bent or twisted the frame? That would be the biggest concern, b/c that will (could) adversely affect handling.

She didn't impact anything. She went down backwards down a hill that leveled out at the bottom. The engine started missing immediately after this accident. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

Did the truck roll through any bush? A small branch may have lodged itself in the wrong place.... Check all the connectors and trace the wires back to the PCM.

Yeah, I changed the plugs, there was water in cylinder's 2, 3, 4, but the most water was in cylinder 3 where the misfire was detected. The plugs in all three cylinders were starting to rust. After I got all the nastiness cleaned up, the engine was running fine for a few days. Now it's starting to misfire again. I never replaced the COP on cylinder 3, but today is payday so I guess I need to run to Napa.
