lost keys!

Incorrect. '99 model-year, and few (very few) late 98s. SuperDuties **, but the DIESEL SD's don't.

I don't know if I would do it, but I've seen vehicles come in where someone took the chip out of the key and glued it to the transponder ring under the steering column covers. Then all they would use is a regular key in the switch. Kind of defeats the purpose of PATS.
