Gettin the gas out.
Gettin the gas out.
Did a search and found some things close but no real answer. This is sorta left field I know but....:
I recently bought a '96 F-150 with dual tanks. This truck is not my primary transportation but need it mainly for hauling the dirt bike etc. Around here we have a grocery store chain that gives fuel perks. I recently filled both tanks for $.56 gallon and planned on siphoning off to fill streetbike as needed but like my 90 Ranger it won't siphon. Does anyoneone know if it's possible to add some sort of valved tap on the pump discharge line (to the FI) to enable me to accomplish this? I'm thinking I could just use the fuel pump to pump the gas into a gas can.
TIA

Damn, thats alot of work for a couple of gallons in a dirtbike!
Just get a pair of gloves, and a fishtank suction hose and rig it up to handpump it out of the tank. I wouldnt modify your fuel system. besides chancing contaminating your fuel system, you can make one hell of a mess or worse.
