you know i bought that 97 150 ext cab well i decided to rebuild the lower end on it iam going to install a new crank and c bearings and also new rod bearings right now #5&6 rod bearings are gone on it but the motor has good compresstion so i think re doing the lower it should be alright with no problems i mean drop the crank and that in and put it back in the truck/ after that it should be ok the truck ran ok except the rod knock

 

You better check the rods to make sure none are bent!
