dual fans

I'm installing a dual electric fan setup on my truck that i yanked off a wrecked GM from work. I was thinking about running a Perma cool relay and thermal switch for a dual fan setup. anybody have any luck with anything else for running electric fannys.

i am installing dual fans today.

I bought a thermal fan switch and installed it into the 3/8ths plug in the water jacket. The switch is normally off, and closes @ 185ish. So I am going to connect it to the ground of the relay. when it gets hot enough, it will complete the circuit. zoom it starts cooling.

the second fan will be connected to the AC.

I looked at the fancy 60/100 controllers, but I could not get the answers that I needed from the maufacturer, so I went the relay route.

HI!... Stay away from that PERMA COOL unit. I went through 3 of them in a year. Can't take the power and if you get them wet there toast. I believe MADFARRARIST (sp?) sells one that people have good luck with. I don't run one at all. Just hooked both fans up to a manual switch and keep my eye on my AUTOMETER coolant temp gauge. I rarely have to use my fans at all.
