4.6 knock
Ive had a problem that has surfaced from time to time. I have discussed it before/ but with no resolve.
Problem: truck sits lets say over night, Then next morning I want to wash truck or just move it 10 foot or so out of the way of garage. I start truck and it starts fine ,I move truck 10 foot, shut truck off and do my thing.
Now 4 hours later or so I start truck again to go some where and there is a knock,knock, knock that will last 10 to 20 seconds. then fades and goes away. some times I will also experiance rough idle during this time.
This has happened to me 4 or 5 times in 3 and a half years. any ideas would be appreciated.
1997 4.6 ltr 4x4 with 142 thousand miles.
