What next?

First time posting, and what brings me here is I need a little more out of my 4.6 04, SuperCrew 4x4. I have done 3 inch exhaust with dual flowmasters. I have also just installed the new K&N CAI. I put 20's on with beefier and wider tires. It sounds great and pulls ok, but I want a little more (or a lot more). My buddy keeps saying Predator, but I thought I would try here for some advise.

I dont want to spend a boatload, but I would like more torque and power. You guys seem like the experts...

The tuner is your best bang-for-buck mod you can do on these trucks. Troyer is one of the more popular tuners on here (he specializes in F-150s, so he knows what he's doin).

+1 for the Troyer XCal2

Might want to re-thing that 3" exhaust system, you are probably giving up some low end torque with that big of a pipe. 2 14/" - 2 1/2" pipe are good for up to about 450hp.

The wheels are eating your lunch in the power catagory. Don't know how much they weigh compared to the stockers but even 3-4lbs a wheel would make a difference. 1lb or rotational weight is like 10lbs of weight anywhere else in the truck.

Another thing to address would be the tire diameter. If you put a taller than stock tire on the truck you are essentially changing your rear end ratio. I have 4.30's in my car, with my 26" drag radials they keep my 4.30 gearing. I have a set of rims with 28" tires that I can put on that will change the 4.30 to 4.10's to save gas on long trips.

If I were you I would look into a good tune and possibly a gear swap, other than forced induction they are the best bang for the buck.

I just posted the website, the others that responded to your post know more about getting your truck where you want to be. Troyer Performance is well known. Good Luck.
