Is 1500 to much ford used lighting long block, ill have to rebuild it ,are the heads and block worth it/..... if not anyone know where to by a lighting block and good set of heads from thanks

 

The lightning engine will be a 8.5 CR just so you know.

$1500 is a decent price if you can verify it's good with a compression check.

well im looking to build me an engine for my truck dont know yet if i want to supercharge it or spray it , its a daily driver that i work out of for now (trying to buy a cheap truck to work out of) but i want to build a good block and have the heads ported and polished .Kind of new the modular engines still learning the ins and outs of them..the lighting engine is actuly pulled out of the truck the guy had screched a few rods =( so really all that i would use would be the block and the heads... btw thanks for the reply>>>>>
