Airaid issue

Hi all, I installed an airaid intake on my 99 4.6 F150 and got a service engine soon code. Does anyone know if this is normal. I have everything hooked up and am curious if I may need a programmer or something? All help would be appreciated.

The SES light means that something with the emmission controls is out of spec. The vehicle is usually drivable with this light on. Did you have special instructions for relocating the MAF on the new intake?

If you have an Autozone nearby then maybe they will read the codes for you and you can post them back here.

Yes the MAF was relocated but everything is installed right to spec. I may have a vacuum leak also. Would a vacuum leak throw a code tho? I'll try and get my comp. scanned for codes.

A vacuum leak could throw a code. Probably something like too lean.
