Arrow Towing Question

Does anyone know how much a 2005 F-150 FX4 4x4 Can tow by trailer? I have the trailer package and im not sure if its about 10,000 pounds or near 13,000

Should be right in your owners manual man. And this post might have been best placed in the towing section.

As a general rule 10K+ is the "safety" limit for a half ton truck. We've pulled more, but in a panic stop situation a 3/4 or 1 ton truck handles much better.

I think adrian has it right. It's not how much you can tow, It's how much you can stop in a reasonable time. You can tow 36,000 lbs with your truck because I have with mine. But it sure didn't want to stop!
