New Diesel Engines for Ford Trucks

I got this off the web site in Europe for the Range Rover

Ford is building new engines for their European products that could be introduced into the States for the F series trucks

From what little inside information I can get out of Ford, the 4.4 V8 diesel is the most likely candidate for the F-150. The numbers I have say 350 HP and 450 FtLbs torque. That's a pretty impressive engine. It is already being made at the Ford plant in Turkey. Hopefully, we'll get to see this engine as a 2008 option. The Expy is also slated for a diesel and from what I hear it will be a variant of this engine but displacing 5.5 L. No HP or torque numbers. I highly doubt that the V6 Navistar ever sees a ford pickup- too heavy, too complex for the output.
