Ford Not Honouring Warranty F250

Problem with F250, have any of you had this problem and how did you fix it ?

Ford Motor Company has revealed, on all new 7.3ltr diesel F250, the fuel screen in the fuel tank is able to disintegrate within hours after receiving poor fuel. Ford are miss diagnosing this problem claiming it is an electrical fault with the fuel pump. As they are not fixing the problem, vehicles are continuing to break down. As a result the impending repairs are then no longer warranty work and are to be paid for by the customer.
Cost of repair:
Tow truck: $1000+
Fuel Screen: $1700
Fuel Pump: $1500 (X2 as they will claim the first is no longer warranty)
Tank of Fuel: $1.30 per litre
Labour: $60 per/hour
A couple in Melbourne returned to Ford 3 time to fix the problem which led to injector failure.
Friends in Mandurah returned twice to the same Ford dealer only to find they were being blamed for the poor fuel and their F250 would not be fixed under warranty.
Ford are not taking responsibility for the failure of the part, and are refusing to repair F250 with the problem as warranty.
Pass this onto anyone with or wanting to buy a F250. For what they cost - it isn't worth it????

If the owners of that vehicle have anybody to be mad at, its not Ford, its whereever they get their fuel from. In which case they need the dealer to put it in writing that what caused the problem with all proof and take action against their fuel supplier and/or the oil company
There was a rash of pump failures down here in South Texas. They did trace it to bad diesel. My dealer repaired mine under warranty, put an inline filter on the suction side of the pump and sent me on my merry way. As I remember it it was the intank filter that would plug, This would then cause the inline pump to fail.
Even converted into US dollars that's $720 for the towtruck, $1225 for the screen, $2164 for fuel pumps.
dang, I am in the wrong business. I need to move down to Australia, open up a Ford garage, take one of my spare f250's I'd have in stock and hook it up with a wrecker setup. That is, of course, assuming I can find one that runs.
I think it is interesting that the original poster said he had issues with his truck, but never describes his problem and insteaqd posts an email he got describing someone else's issues. Oh, and my favorite part (other than the part that's already been pointed out that this isn't a Ford issue at all but a matter of bad diesel fuel) is that based on this mountain of evidence we're supposed to pass it along to other people. Where's my phone? I've got to call everyone I know!!! People MUST know that somebody down in Australia got an email indicating someone else supposedly had an issue with bad fuel!

It was my cousins son, who's F250 had problems with.
Diesel downunder is poor quality. High in sulphur.
There is quality diesel around but you don't know where. Low sulphur diesel is now coming available. I posted becuse someone in the States might have had a similar problem and got it fixed.

As far as I know, Ford engineers them to run on low sulfur diesel. The next trens in the US is Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel. They're taking the LSD at 500 PPM down to the ULSD levels at 15 PPM. There will be problems down the pipe as the new fuel is backwards-compatible in the older engines, but two tanks of LSD through an engine designed to run ULSD and the catalysts will be shot. Some guys with diesels think that they'll run on anything: Not anymore!

I hope you folks make like a million a year income because those prices are a bit high.. to say the least. I've paid tow trucks before the highest I paid was US $120.. I could fedex overnight a fuel pump to you from the states and you'd still spend less with that fuel pump cost and shipping cost combined!
bcshepherd. The problem is the South Pacific Peso to the American Dollar is crap.
EG A Mustang here, starts at $85k for the V6 and $135k for the GT Premium. Shelby's are over $200k.!!
