Anyone running the Granatelli COPs and Connectors?

Just polling if anyone is running them. Do you like them? Worth the $$?

Thanks,

We were asking about aftermarket COP not chips.

Well I went ahead and ordered them with the new plug connectors from Summit. All for $374. Not bad everywhere on the web asked $499. Jegs wanted $579.
Should be shipping 2nd week of April.

Cool Curiousity

How much is it for the OEM COPS? Will you have to do any major modifications to install those new COPS and what major changes in performance is expected?

I priced them anywhere from $48.99 at Autozone up to $70 here on the web. My wife works at AZ and I get a 20% discount which still put me at $300+ for all 8. Granatelli claims 15HP, but I'm after getting a hotter spark and hopefully smoother idle, which is another claim. They have a 1 year warranty on the cop and limited lifetime on the rubber connectors. I'm also looking at either NGK or Autolite Iridium plugs to put in as well. O'reilly has those at about $6.50/each.

You should give this thread a read if you are planning on running different plugs (non-stock) with these COPS:

I dont know how many other plugs would have this issue, but its something to check out while you are changing the plugs.

how much more kilovolts do u get from this upgrade.. and why not just modify your stock ones... thats is pretty much all that the granateli' are is a solid stainless wire. instead of a coil spring.. so why not just modify your own and saw ur self couple hundred bucks. go buy some solid copper core wire and solder it on there.. then crimp an end on.
