loss of cylinder compression 4.2 6 cylinder

what can cause this type of problem ?

I dont know the 4.2's very well but if memory serves me right dont their seals go bad at that section of the block? If so check for oil leaks and see if you've got a bad seal.

dealer said it was the spring but it's not .... now maybe the rod is holding the valve open but not sure

started as a misfire reading then the dealer tested it and said it was related to compression
