damp

hi everyone.

I hope someone will know what I am taking about.

Pretty much every time the wheather is either wet or damp outside my truck feels like it's not running on all cylinders. it sputters it shakes....

I went to see a mechanic last year and I thought he fixed it but after a while the problem came back( two of the spark plug coil were not working)

Would anybody have any idea what could be the problem?

thanks

Since you didn't bother to identify what engine you have, we can only guess.

Sounds like bad plug wires assuming your engine has them. Could also be one or more bad COPs is so equipped.

Pull off every wire and coat inside well with di-electric grease. Doesn't matter which engine you have, this works on anything with spark plugs. But SHO98 is right, next time, tell us what what we're working on first....

Sounds like it could be a bad COP alright. Do you ever see the check engine light on or blinking?

Do you have any oiled air filters on your truck?

Boots on the coil pack. My mom's Expedition had the same problem for months. Three (unsuccessful) trips to the dealership later, he replaced the boots for the COPs and all was well again.

They came in a kit. The local CarQuest had them. (Don't recall the cost though)
