95 f150 5.8 timing

First off , I need to thank you guys .From my earlier posts you can see I have not worked on many fords.
The timing tab has the word TIME written on it.I have timed it with the mark on the balancer in line with the top or straight edge of the tab were TIME is written. Is this correct ? Tab also has an area where it tapers into kind of a v shape and further toward the botton a round hole. It looking at it I don't see how it could make sense or be possible to time through the hole. But as you can see that I am a ford newbie.

Also on the plenum there are 4 vaccum lines, one larger on by itself, and 3 smaller ones that all go into a half moon shape connector. The plastic lines of course broke because they are brittle. because I have to drive this truck in the morning I caped the tubes coming off the plenum. Do I have to get line assembly from the dealer to replace these or can I get it from a parts store ?

Thanks again guys for the help . This truck has 170,000 miles on it . I can't complain too much can I !!!

Some parts stores just sell the stuff in rolls and you can tell them how many feet you want. You just have to know what diameter you need and what quality/heat resistance etc. you need. Im gonna have to start looking at replacing some of my lines as some of the rubber is starting to look dried out also.
