Superchips question

Looking for info on Superchips for an 01. They say you'll see better fuel economy but I can not find info on what to expect out of it as far as fuel goes. I have the info on HP and torque, but can anyone give me input on the mileage issue.

Thank You

I have an XCal2 from Troyer, and Im glad I got it.
For mileage, I get about 1-2 MPG better on the highway, but its not really doin much for my "city" driving, since I pretty much only drive to/from school (barely 5 minutes away), so the engine is not really even warmed up by the time I shut it off.

But, it all depends on your driving habits. Obviously, you should techincally get better mileage, but that all depends on if you can resist the urge to get on it

Edit to add: I forgot to mention, it drives alot better. For instance, if I need to pass someone on the highway, its much more responsive and gets up to speed considerably quicker than it used to.

Re-programmed my '01 about 2 years ago and to date it hasn't netted me even 1 mpg. I track every tank of fuel as I'm trying to keep costs down and the 87 octane program hasn't done anything. If gas prices ever come down out of the stratosphere I will try the higher octane program just to see if it does anything. For as little as I tow the TT, I'm tempted to park the truck and ride a motorcycle.

87 performance programs dont really do much for performance and mileage, Ford has pretty much maxed that octane out as far as that goes, 87 tunes tend to only (really) change shifting properties and such.
If you go to the premium fuel tune, you should see some increase, providing that as I said earlier, you can stay out of it.
