Fuel Rail Sensor
New Truck New Problem...anyone else
I am not new to ford, but I am a rookie to the F-150 so I'm hoping some of you vetrans can help me out. Just brought a new 05 F-150 s-crew. Only put 700 miles on her and the fuel rail sensor went out.. The dealership didn't know what caused it, so they just replaced it.. Has anyone had this problem?

BUT, if you have any problem that in any way, however remote, Ford can attribute the possibility or liklihood of the failure to the aftermarket device and will deny coverage since the system was not as Ford built it. It would be up to the customer to prove it didn't. Pretty steep hill to climb.
I was in the service dept of a local dealership while a conversation was taking place regarding a customer's vehicle with a "dusted" turbo and an aftermarket air filter. The service manager told the writer to tell the customer that due to the aftermarket filter, warranty coverage for the turbo was declined by the Ford regional office. That had to be one expensive filter for that customer!
Best advice is to leave the system stock for the duration of the warranty if you want to avoid any coverage issues.
