Exclamation battery draining

i have a ford 150 1998 model. replaced the alternator and bought a new battery as well. however the battery keeps draining. took alt back to auto part store had it checked its good. the fuse that controls the windows, windshield wipers, and interior lights seems to have a short in it, have to constantly fool with the fuse for it to work, it also keeps blowing this fuse. this is no new problem, the new problem is the battery going dead.. any suggestions??

Find and fix the short. The GEM controls the windows, the Interior lights and the wiper delay. It also controls the Accessory and Battery Saver relays. Which fuse keeps blowing?

Probably the one that controls all those functions.

Sounds like yet another wet GEM module/fuse panel......

I had the same thing happen and it turned out to be the plug that came with the new alt(although i had to trace it down). If yours didnt come with one I think it was like $10 at autozone.

I know your probally not supposed to do it but pull the battery cable when its running and see if it dies. Thats how i figured it out.
