NPI P&P Heads

Ive been searching for a few days, but cant find anything. Im looking for a pair of NON PI ported and polished cylinder heads. Doesnt anyone sell these? Everyone has the PI ones, but Id rather not have the PI's because at this time I dont want to have to run 93 octane, and I dont want to change out the pistons at this time to lower the CR so I can run 87 octane.
I plan on getting a pair, along with some .550 or .600 lift cams, or maybe just stick in some PI cams. Hopefully it'll give me a nice little boost along with ported intake manifold, elbow, TB, and tune.

If no one sells these, are there any good places I can send a set of NPI's and have them P&P'd (that's not to pricey either)?

Thanks for the info!

Ported NPI Heads

Nobody I know of sells ported NPI's but there is a machine shop they rave about on www.tccoa.com for porting NPI heads. Do a search over there and find the contact info for them. But why do you wanna stay NPI? I know for a fact you can get more flow from a NPI head than you can a PI, the design of the casting allows you to open them up more than you can a PI..........but its not that big of a difference. At least with the PI heads on NPI internals you get a compression bump.

Hey,
Thanks for the link, Im checking that out right now.

Main reason I want to stay NPI is because I dont want torun premium right now, and dont want to put in the dished pistons required to keep the CR down when you go to PI's-if your not wanting to run premium gas that is. Plus, P&P'd NPI's can actually outflow PI's (with the right P&P job and cams). Another reason-you can pick up NPI heads on ebay for under 100 bucks. PI heads go for over 600 bucks.

If I had another block to work that was out of the truck, and money permited, Id be doing this differently. Im trying to get away w/o pullin the engine, minimal down time, and least expensive for the time being

Found the place you were talking about I think. Renegade.
Thanks

renegade yep........... but your truck is a 99............your truck should already have PI heads shouldn't it. if it is then going to NPI's on a PI block will drop your compression. And you're right, and i even said it, NPI's can me made to outflow PI's but the difference is minimal.

well as an alternative to sending your heads out to renegade look on www.modulardepot.com or one of the mustang forums like corral or stangnet for a set of SVO heads. basically they are NPI heads with a stage 2 port

Thanks for the link. Looks nice and affordable, I just wish those were bigger flow numbers. If you get a before and after dyno run comparing them to stock, you should post the results.

Thanks!
