Question distributer or fuel pump?

I don't know if either one is the problem actually, and I could really use the help. I bought $20 worth of gas and drove maybe a mile to a red light. I sat in line for a few minutes. When the light turned green, traffic started moving, I hit the gas, and the truck rolled about five feet, then died. Luckily i had enough momentum to get off the road. Anyway, now the truck won't crank at all, all it will do is just keep turning the motor over. Anybody have any ideas. Thank you in advance.

Turing over is cranking, you have a no start condition.
Two items have to be checked in order to get a fault direction.
Is the engine getting fuel and is there ignition.
Check fuel with a pressure gauge on fuel rail port. About 40 psi after ignition key cycled to run 3 times.
Spark at a plug wire while cranking. If not or very weak the TFI is suspect then the coil.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot. I can work on vehicles pretty good I just can't diagnose the problem. Oh, and can you tell a dummy what a TFI is? Thanks again.

Thick Film Ignition. It's your "ignition module".

It's a common failure item and also a pretty cheap part. If you have fuel going into the engine then it might be easier to just change the tfi module then try to diagnose it.
