I have a 2001 4.6 auto 4x4 with 140,000 miles on it. When i start it in the morning it has a whiste, that sort of sounds like a crickett. The sound is steady and is usually worse in the cold but lately it hasn't mattered. It use to go away when the engine was running for a while but not anymore. I have not notice a change in performance, just effiency, which the cold weather usually affects anyway.
I hope someone can shine some light on this for me. It maybe the belt but it only has 20,000 miles on it.
