'89 f150 has no compression in #8
You need competent people working in that truck- which I'm not at all sure you have now.
You need competent people working in that truck- which I'm not at all sure you have now. Ask them if they even know what a borescope is and how you use it. I have a feeling you'll get a blank stare.
*sighs* well $500 and nothing to show for it. They did "tests" and did not conclude anything. They did not tell me the actual results of the tests... I told them to put oil in the cylinder and retest the compression, try to find where the compression is being lost (charged an hour for this one), and test the coil. They said they put the scope down there and didnt see anything. Thats when they said they think it is the intake valve. They said that took 3 hours labour. I told them to tear it apart but they didnt start that yet so I told them just to put it back together so I can take it somewhere else. Of course I am talking to the service department chick that isnt actually doing the work.
