Lubing chassis, changing brake fluid, etc

Hi everyone,
Does brake fluid need to be changed if it's at full level? How often?
Does chassis and things need to be lubricated? Also, how often?

Finally, where can I buy dustcaps (for wheels) that go behind the hubcaps... and the hubcaps themselves?...

Thanks!

I like to bleed brake lines at least once a year to remove contamination and moisture. Dot 3 and 4 fluid is hydroscopic (will absorb moisture) and the moisture in lines, cylinders, and calipers will cause corrosion/rust of metal parts which can lead to premature failure/wear of parts.

Alot of people do like to flush the brake fluid. I personally don't and have never had a brake fluid issue.

There are no grease points on most newer cars, they are all sealed fittings although grease can be added with a hypodermic needle if needed. I had a 97 F150 that I had to add grease to because it was submerged in water once.

As for the brake dust shields you speak of, I wouldn't use the as they are a known source of premature brake failure

dont use the dust shields! the decrease in brake life that inharently coomes with them is not worth the trouble of washing you wheels one a week. trust me. tons of guys on here have had problems with the (and of course others swear by them), but its really not worth it.

ford says to flush and replace the brake fluid every 2 years. if you have ABS then its cheap insurance.

Lubing the truck is easy with a needle fitting. the only grease fitting installed from factory is on the idler arm.

If you can't see your finger looking from one side of the master cylinder to the other, you need to flush your brake fluid.
