Anybody ever tried a gas conversion on these engines? is it possible? only i am thinking of buying a Lightning but here in England petrol is more expensive than gold

It can be done if you are skilled enough and want to spend the money.
Do an internet search using 'LPG Conversion'.
Look at these websites to get started in understanding what has to be done.

My truck runs off of Compressed Natural Gas as well as gasoline. It came from the factory like that, however in Phoenix AZ there were a number of LPG conversions mad to obtain tax credits. One can still find them sometimes. Try to post on this board to find one. Most of the parts are small and could be shipped. http://savenrg.com/msgboard2.mv
