Coil pack or just a spark?

hey all,

My '99 F150 5.4L just started missing today out of the blue. I just got back into town, and it has not been driven for 6 days, now this. My guess would be since it is so cold in Illinois, condensation buildup maybe caused the coil pack to short out. That is just a wild guess really, but could it be just a spark plug? It was tuned up at 88,000 miles, now with 115,000. I would rather have a spark plug replacement than a coil pack. Thanks in advance for the help.

Well you can test the resistance on the coil packs using a multi meter. Otherwise, given the price of a spark plug. Try that first.

Smokin' is an understatement since those things sell for $50 each at Autozone.

They'd have to be used, Chinese knock-offs, or so hot they're still smokin' to sell for that price!
