Tech question/California Calibration?

Is there any difference in the calibration for our trucks that are sold in Ca. Vs the other 48 states? The reason I ask is that the salesman stated to me when I was looking at my truck, that it was a CA truck that they had just gotten in on a dealer trade. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but then I remembered that it wasn't to many years ago, that the emisions equipment required for Ca was much more extensive than that of the other 48 states i.e., ca was the first for requiring cats. Just wondering.

There are now at least 5 states that use CA emmissions standards of calibration.
This can be in the PCM programming, the evaporative hardware and other areas.
The CA rules should be looked up to see what all they are.
