Question Timing Belt, chain, or whatever...

O.K., I'm thoroughly confused . While going through some old paperwork for my 2000 F-150 w/ a 4.6L V8 Triton engine, the dealership literature mentions changing the timing belt. I thought these engines used chains. A search of this forum seems to confirm my opinion, however, I also found posts about timing belts. I just want to make sure I stay on top of this in case the belt needs to be changed. So which is it?
I'm rather embarassed to say I don't know what I'm looking at on the engine. I can do the routing maintenance and minor repairs, but when it comes to vehicles, I'm what you call mechanically inclined, not automotively inclined. (But I'm willing and eager to learn)

yes it uses 2 chains to turn a single cam on each side, no belts for the timing
