double intake

In a magazine for customized trucks, there was a f-150 with a double air intake. Would that really work or improve mileage, or is it just for show.....

Did it have 2 throttle body's or just 2 tubes going to 1 throttle body. what year f150 was it.

it just had a pic of the engine, it looked pre-03, and looks like just two tubes, each with a filter to one throtle, not much of an expert but thats what it seemed to me......

so it was a custom intake manifold and plenum had to have been to handle twin 70mm throttle bodys.

If it was a tiwn into one then it was probably a modified aftermarket Corvette intake. I can't imagine that you would gain too much from a setup like that,
