OK so the truck died in traffic the other day, then would not start. battery is good, alternator good, gas in it. the thing that is wierd is the guages wont come on when i turn the key to the on position. but, if i leave the key on for awhile the guages come on and i get the dreaded dashes across the odometer. i dont know too much about this. but i was told it has something to do with the factory security system and that might be it. i dont know if i can hear the fuel pump running either when i turn the key on. and i have no spare key to check on the key coding problem. any ideas?
