Unhappy Overtemp issues

Ok, well I guess my problem started when I bought the wrong Elect Fan kit. Because I have an aTI Procharger on my truck I was supposed to get the twin fan kit. Instead I got the single fan kit. I didnt figure this out until after I mounted the new fan and was re-installing the I/C pipes. there wasnt enought room for the pipes to fit in between the radiator and the fan motor. So I had a muffler shop fab me some pipes that had a bend in them so go around the fan motor and just barely fit. Well, all summer Ive had overtemp issues, but it only seemed to occur when I had the A/C on and I was at a stop for a while. Well the other day I was stuck in traffic and the needle went all the way up and the light turned on. crap. I was able to limp it home and found that it had spewed alot of coolant all over the passenger side engine bay. I guess from a pressure valve. Now I think the valve is leaking because I filled the resevor up yesterday and just sitting in the driveway it lost fluid and there is a small puddle on the cement. I have looked at my problem and fugured the only way to remedy it is to go get the twin fan and maybe sell the other one.
My question is....does that pressure valve supposed to leak after a over heat situation ? Do I now have to get a new radiator or can I get a new valve? I would really love to just replace the fan, my wife would kill me if I messed this up and caused the replacement of the radiator too.
