intake manifolds

I was wondering if the intake manifolds are the same on a romeo and windsor 4.6L. Also, are there any aftermarket intake manifolds for a good price. Thanks for the help!!!

nah windsors have a honecomb grill on the bottom of the lower plastic peice. and some have runner control but yes they are interchangable. but they dont make any aftermarket intakes for our trucks only for the mustang GT's... unless ur looking to spend some big bucks on one ur best bet is buy and port one. which is what im going to be doing here shortly

I'm I right in saying that a 5.4 intake won't work?

The 5.4 is a taller engine (therefore the heads are farther apart), so the 5.4L intake needs to be wider than the 4.6L intake.

However there are 4.6L romeo's and 4.6L windsors, and as far as I know, the intakes should be interchangeable amongst those two.

stay away from plastic intake manifolds and no it wont work the intake runners wont match up right to the intake ports on the heads.. the 99+ engines had PI peformance improved heads.. so the intake portes are a different shape
