heads question

In which years do the 4.6 motors have 3 valve heads? Is there a way to tell if the truck has a 3 valve motor or 2 valve motor? Did they ever use both types in the same year?

Its possible but its alot of work. The main problem is that your current computer cant run the 3v heads, and I dont think just a tune will take care of it.
