only reason u would having excessive metal shavings is if u ran the engine hard when the noise was occuring. but start up noise is nothing new every engine does becasue ti all drains down to the oil pain and takes a few seconds for the upper moving parts to become lubircated... but take it to the dealer and tell them u noticed metal shavings and whatnot and they will have to look into it since its under waranty
