P1000

What does the code P1000 mean? I do not have a Check engine lite on or anything I was playing with the Xcal2 and ran a check and it poped up with a P1000?

Nothing to worry about, it just means that the battery was disconnected or the PCM was reset (reflashed) and now the on-board diagnostics and readiness tests have not been completed. Go to the search function and check for P1000.

P1000 is a flag code that says all diagnostics have not passed.
Your code may clear in about 50 miles of driving assuming you drive simular to the standard driving cycle and satisfy all the conditions.
If you live in a area that checks the computer port as part of inspection the code 1000 usually fails your visit even though no lamp is on.
This is one way the inspection process detects a possible problem or mod if it does not clear the code after some driving time.
They usually tell you to come back another day after you put some miles on the truck because they don't know why the code is set either.
If it never clears then contact the chip supplier about it.

that code means the truck has not gone threw its test. everytime u disconnect the battery, or reset the pcm or even have a dead battery it resets the pcm clearing all the codes. it takes a couple trips with the truck for it to finish reading all the info. the 1000 code just means that it hasnt finished.drive 100 miles and check again, by then it should have gotten all the information from all the sensors in your truck and the code should be gone. if it detects a problem then the cel light will show... if no problem there will be no stored codes including the p1000 which should be gone.

I have the same code pop up on mine. When the light came on for a MAF sensor the trans started shifting hard. Now that I corrected the problem with the MAF should the trans start to shift normal again when the computer reconfigures? The trans has a shift kit in it so it has always shifted hard.
