I Just Bought My 86 F150 With The 4.9l. It Has 239k And Some Change And Runs Smooth And Strong. I Dont Know Anything About Fords, I Haved Always Been A Chevy Man..... I Would Like To Give The Motor A Little More Umphhh, Can Anyone Suggest A Carb. Upgrade. Possibly A Two Barrell???

 

if it has the orginal carb... anything is an upgrade! id check out edlebrock they have very nice carbs... holley is also a very good brand. also check out msd's distributors they have vaccum advance for hook up to a carb.
