Truck getting 12.57mpg city driving?

My 2002 F150 2WD is getting 12.57mpg, measured today. It's got about 60000 miles on it and I recently did a tune up and changed oil regularly before. My wheels and all other items are OEM. It's had bad mileage like that since I got it. Anyone know what I can do to get it up to 15mpg or so like people are saying here?

What engine do you have?
I have the 5.4 and get around 13mpg city and highway combined. I once got above 15mpg when i drove 600 mile using the cruise at 65 and no AC with the windows up.

Try cleaning the throttle body and make sure your air filter is clean.
