5.4 5 speed

is there a 5.4 and 5 speed combo in a 1/2 ton 4x4? if there is i have not found one yet. that would be the perfect combo in my opinion. why is it no one (dodge ,ford, or chevy)wants to put a stick and v-8 in a 1/2 ton pickup now days?

I do not believe you could ever get the 5.4l engine with the manual. You could get it with the 4.6l engine in the last body style but now only the 6 cyl can get a manual in the new trucks.

Ford needs to come out with a 5 spd auto like the titans.

The 5.4 was never offered with a 5-speed. The 4.6 was, but even those are very rare. I agree, I'd like to see it as an option, but I just don't think it would sell enough for Ford to justify doing it.

I believe you could get the 5.4L with the 5-speed, but that was in the very early, base models. I think I have only seen a few trucks with that setup.

Nope not available. In the last body style only with the 4.6L (rare) and 4.2L, The bodystyle before that, and the one before that you couldn't get a 351 with a fivespeed in the 150 or the Bronco. Real shame for the handshaker lovers like me, but the reason I think is to push the sales of the bigger trucks if a guy wants a stick.

Screw automatics, HANDSHAKERS FOREVER!

The Titan has a 5 speed auto... Not a manual. Not sure of any full size with the big engine that has a stick.

Ford never made the 5 speed manual available with the 5.4 in the F-150. I had to make one. They used the Mazda M5OD-R2 tranny and it would not stand up to the 5.4. How do I know this? Check the sig..

Actually, parked outside, right now in fact. My boss has a 97 or 98 5.4 with a 5 speed manual. He bought it brand new from a dealership like that. No mods.

Don't believe it. Can you post pics of the Vehicle Certification Label?

I call BS, but would be downright happy if you prove me wrong. All I need is a pic of the door sticker please...

Dont have access to a camera right now, but he says it is. The engine even has the 5.4 throttle body plastic cover...and 5.4 emblems on the fenders...where will it say on the door panel sticker?
