stalling out....

with three quarters of a tank of gas my 04 f-150 stalled four times going up a fairly steep city hill...loud buzzer than check gauges waring, batt light air bag warning ect...I have a 35 gallon tank and I'm woundering if the gas gauge was off or if gas in the tank was to far away from the flue pump...on level ground the truck run ok.. In the morning I fill the truck up...It's been a real pain in the tank lately....

Scan your computer for codes. It could be a lot of things. It probably was not a fuel issue.

I got my 04 back today...I'm happy...after spending two days with a 4.6 xl rc short box 2wd as a service loaner.....I tell you what I think.

The 06 was a sports car when compared to my 04 rc long box 4x4 5.4...used less gas than my 04, but the short box really limited what I could haul...the 4.6 was quicker than I expected....but the meager creature comforts of my xlt were missing.... If you don't want a work truck, don't want 4wd, never want to tow....happy with a reg cab....than get a 4.6.....much better than a ranger......If you want to tow, haul people/cargo and need 4x4 than the 4.6 is under powerd and no match for a 2wd chevy....with a 4.8, on ocassion I use my empoyers truck which is a 05 chev...
