Where is EGR on the 5.4L DOHC 32V??
I can not find the EGR on the 5.4L 32v in my 2000 Navigator. I have found the DFPE, but no clue wher ethe EGR is. Any help and if possible, a pic, would be greatly appreciated.
A few things..
1. we need more details.
2. what part of the EGR?
If its the EGR valve then its right under that dpfe sensor you saw. It a big metal thing that loops around to the fuel injector. one of the best investments you can get is a book. Spend 3-10 on a site and then it'll be easier for you to understand what people are explaining to you. Its like, how can someone explain to you how to do something if you don't know what it looks like?
Anyhow, no biggie. Buy a manual first thing. Next, go to some automotive place and tell them you need to see the EGR valve for your make and model. They'll get it, show you and then you can see it...

I don't really know.
If I were looking though, I would start at the throttle body. On my 4.6 the EGR is connected to the throttle body on the drivers side. I had to remove the plastic cover to access it. There was a 1" or 3/4" line coming up from the exhaust attatched to the side. There is a vaccum line going into the top of it.
I'm not sure how different thoes 4 valvers are compaired to the two as far as the intake is concerned. You do want to look for something that accepts air from the exhaust and is connected to the throttle body at some point.
