EGR code
Hey,
Got a '88 with a 4.9l/auto. At a normal highway cruise that nasty little check engine light blinks and the performance gets a flat spot in power. It can throw a code once one morning and twenty the next day.
lucky me i have the code retriever and I get a 63 and a 32. One being a EGR backpressure problem and the other a below minimum voltage in the throttle positions sensor. Since they are connected which is fooling who? The KOEO test is A.Okay. On an interesting note, by disconnecting the vac line and capping line with trusty golf tee the problem goes away.
