Just as an aside..... When you're running radials at the track, you need to drive around the water-box and skip the burnout. Cuz you know radials don't get nearly as much traction when they're hot and gooey as they do when they are cool. The only ones you want to heat up are slicks and cheater slicks (DOT slicks, Street ET's, etc.).

Usually if you mention it you the track folks, you can get them to skip spraying water for you and you might could get them to put down some fresh VHT for ya.

HI!... Actually I run NITTO EXTREME DRAG radials. 305/45/R-18. They need to be heated up. If you don't they are useless.

HI!... Just a update : I got my PCM box done and installed in the glove box. Turned out nice. It's got the PCM mounted on very aggressive velcro, 8 40AMP relays and HD 14 gauge pigtails, my MSD nitrous controller, solanoid, and two power distribution boxes. Dash is finally all back together and next weekend I'll start building the aluminum plate that will be going in where the radio and heater controls used to be. Beds off and the rear frame has been stripped. Just two frame rails and a rearend in it right now. Will be ordering the BEAR's pro stock 4-link at the end of FEB. I'm hoping to buy a new digital camera in the next 2 weeks so I'll post up some pics, that I know you guys luv so much! LOL!

I was gonna say - where's the pics lol..Glad your still workin on her.. How many years has it been?? If it wasn't for your engine builder , wouldn't it still be running? And turbo charged by now?..I read there was a few expensive set backs - builders error, that really sucks...

So is this going to be the fastest NA truck that's been built?

HI!... I don't know about that, or really care. My goal is to go 12's in N/A form. Hopefully 11's on some nitrous.

HI!... Well 1 : BEAR'S PERFORMANCE is 5 minutes from my house. 2 : I know all the guys there for many years. 3 : I'm getting the kit at cost. 4 : It's better built than most of the kits I've seen. 5 : The entire kit is chrome moly.

If your able to accomplish 12's N/A , what would be possible adding a turbo?

HI!... Well I'm hoping for a 12.7 - 12.8E.T N/A. With the T-76 at about 18lbs, I think 10's would be obtainable.

That'll be one wicked truck if you ever get it all woking for you. Hope you get that new camera before you start posting times like that b/c I really wanna see it! That'll really make the rest of us drool! Guess that's part of the price for keeping your truck as a daily driver. At any rate I can't wait to see the finished product. Hope all works out for you. You've certainly had more than your share of bad luck so far.--DIY

Neal - Why did you mod your intake to a single plane?
What's the difference in drivability, etc as opposed to the oem dual plane?

HI!... I wanted more mid to top power. With the cams I have it made good power to 6000RPM on the dyno. Once the turbo is installed it should make power to about 6500-6700RPM. Well at least that's what the techs at COMP CAMS told me!

On a side note the truck has been put on hold for awhile. I just finally ordered my new truck on the weekend. I bought a "07" FORD RANGER SPORT. It should come in by the 1st week of MARCH. Put $3000 down but want to put another $2000 down before it gets here. This way my payments will only be $425 a month for 48 months. That's a hell of alot better than the $725 a month I was paying for the F-150 way back. Got 0% financing too!

Options are :

- 4.0L (207H.P/238TQ)
- auto trans
- extended cab
- oxford white (of coarse LOL!)
- 8.8, 3.55L/S (switching to 4.10's later)
- tow package
- sport bucket seats
- 16" aluminum rims
- monochromatic paint
- power group
- tilt steering/cruise control/a/c/power locks/windows etc.

Stock it tows about 6000LBS. I figure once MIKE T does his thing with a XCAL-2 and the 4.10's are installed, it should be good for 6500LBS +. It's going to be my everyday driver and also tow my F-150 to the track. F-150 should weigh 3200LBS without me in it and the car trailer I'm building will be about 1500LBS. So that should weigh under 5000LBS. Ranger should handle it o.k.

Congrats on the new truck. I'm a confirmed White truck guy too, this one is my third -[IMG][/IMG]

So, the dual plane, like the long runners, are the key for better low end torque?

Have you looked at any others as possibilities?
